Oktoberfest Weekend Charity Hash
Mark your calendars now for the Suzhou H3 National Day Charity Hash. Join us in Suzhou for a couple of great Hashes, great parties, lots of presents and goodies and help out the mentally ill at the same time.

Hash Schedule
We promise great runs through very different parts of a great city, with Run profits and Raffle proceeds going to help the Suzhou mentally ill. Accommodation recommendations available for visiting Hash groups and individual Hashers from out of town.
Cost: 400 RMB per person for the weekend including both Hashes, 100 RMB worth of raffle tickets, plus goodies and souvenirs. Prize raffle tickets 40 RMB per or 3 for 100 RMB with excellent prizes. Watch this space for additional details, list of raffle prizes, trail types and more.

Accommodations for out of town Hashers
Suzhou has thousands of hotels in all price ranges, but we can recommend the following hotel to those who want to be with the group. It is within walking distance of the Hash Pub and the meeting point of the weekend Hashes. If anyone would like another hotel recommendation (more luxurious or cheaper than the recommended one below), please contact us and we can provide recommendations of hotels that meet your needs.
Hash Hotel:
Traditional Jiangnan Beauty Hotel located just off of Suzhou Shiquan Jie Bar Street. Check-in for the Oktoberfest Weekend Hash is from October 1st with check-out on the 4th. The hotel is family-owned by two fluent English speakers. It is newly renovated in traditional classical Chinese style. All rooms are clean and air-conditioned with private bath. Getting to and from Suzhou
By Air
You can fly in to Shanghai Hongqiao airport (about 80 km from Suzhou, 45 min by car, about 1.5 hours by airport bus) or into Shanghai Pudong Airport (about 120 km from Suzhou, 90 min by car, about 3 hours by airport bus). Airport buses run throughout the day. Contact us for bus schedules and assistance with airport transfer booking.
By Train
Almost all the trains running on the Hu-Ning (Shanghai-Nanjing) Railway stop at the Suzhou Railway Station. Suzhou is the terminus and starting station for five trains to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Ganzhou (Jiangxi Province) every day. The rest of the trains are bound for Shanghai from Beijing, Chengdu, Xian, Qingdao, Xining and Nanjing, etc., but stop in Suzhou. Usually, at least four trains to and from Shanghai stop in Suzhou each hour.

Bus: 16 buses terminate at the Suzhou Railway Station, including No.1, 102, 103, 178, 19, 26, 518, 69 and 83. For information call: 6727 2831 (Chinese language)
Tip: You can buy return tickets back home as early as 6 days before you leave at the Ticket Hall at the east of the Suzhou Railway Station.
By Long-distance Bus
Suzhou is known as the 'Southeast Gate' to Shanghai and Zhejiang Province because of its well-developed highway network. There are Three long-distance bus stations in Suzhou. The Suzhou North Bus Station has the most bus routes to Anhui, Hubei, Fujian, Shandong, Jiangxi, and Zhejiang provinces. Buses also depart for Shanghai from the North Bus Station once every twenty minutes. The ticket fare ranges from 26 to 30 RMB.

North Station address: 29, Xihui Lu. Located at the east side of Suzhou Railway Station.
South Station: Located at the corner of Nanhuan Eastern Road and Yingchun Road. Take the No.10, 931, 54, or 55 buses to get there.
Buses going to Anhui, Hubei, Shandong, Jiangxi, and Zhejiang provinces plus Shanghai all depart from this station
West Station: Jinshan Road, New District. The No.313, 39, 302, 317, or 622 buses will take you to West Station. Buses to Anhui and Zhejiang provinces and Shanghai depart from this bus station.
